Saxon Competence Center Königswartha - Outdoor areas adjacent to buildings The palace park is a regionally significant estate park in the landscape style. The northern park area, characterized by a large lawn roundel (currently not discernible) with a surrounding path and framing plantings, is also referred to as the courtyard side or palace forecourt. Between the palace and the orangery is the passage to the part of the park located south of the palace, with the centrally located palace pond, the area near the palace ("Pleasureground"), and the area south of the palace pond. This part of the park is bounded by a listed rubble-stone wall along the main road and to the south. A millrace diverted from the Schwarzwasser forms the western boundary of the manor grounds. On the eastern side, the grounds are bounded by utility buildings—consisting, from north to south, of the feed barn, orangery, and residential hall—and the park wall.
