Opportunity description

The Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Upper Franconia Bayreuth intends to construct a new inter-company training facility (“IHK-Campus Bayreuth”). The new building will meet multifunctional requirements in the field of vocational education and training (IHK teaching operations, IHK examination operations and education policy formats). The building is planned as a lightweight structure. With the exception of the basement—which is planned as a reinforced concrete structure—the building will be constructed from steel, wood and glass. The load-bearing steel structure, with steel lattice girders spanning the halls, is covered with trapezoidal steel sheets. Roof structure with a green flat roof and photovoltaics. The exterior walls will be constructed using timber-frame construction with mineral-fibre insulation. The exterior skin will be designed as ventilated panel cladding. It is planned that this “New Construction of IHK-Campus Bayreuth” project will be funded by the Free State of Bavaria and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF 2021 to 2027). A corresponding funding application has been submitted. Description of the main services with approximate quantities: - Lounge sofa with backrest – 1 unit - Lounge sofa without backrest – 1 unit - Stackable tubular-steel chair – approx. 350 units - Armrests for stackable chair – approx. 20 units - Writing tablet for stackable chair – approx. 50 units - T-base single-column folding table – approx. 120 units - Electrification strip for folding table – approx. 70 units - Folding bar tables – approx. 10 units - Furnishings for the changing room, consisting of a trestle table, mirror element, side table, sideboard, changing-room wardrobe, lounge chair, sofa bed and minibar.
