Germany – Gas-analysis apparatus – Framework agreement for the replacement of NOx analyzers in the Baden-Württemberg air monitoring network

Conclusion of a framework agreement for the supply of a maximum of 55 NOx analyzers to replace the continuous measurement technology in the air monitoring network in Baden-Württemberg. Type-approved measuring instruments are generally used for the measurements. For nitrogen oxides (NOx), nitrogen monoxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), the reference method pursuant to DIN EN 14211:2025-12 Ambient air - Standard method for the measurement of the concentration of nitrogen dioxide and nitrogen monoxide is chemiluminescence. For this purpose, 55 automatic, type-approved NOx analyzers are to be supplied for the continuous, high-time-resolution and simultaneous measurement of NO, NO2 and NOx using the reference method. Delivery will take place in three tranches (1st tranche: 20 devices, 2nd tranche: 20 devices, 3rd tranche: maximum 15 devices). These must be functional and ready-to-use new devices. The LUBW will install these NOx analyzers in measuring containers of different sizes and equipment levels and operate them permanently (continuous measurement). The locations of the measuring stations in the Baden-Württemberg air monitoring network cover the entire range of pollution levels, from rural background locations (low air pollutant concentrations) to traffic-related hot-spot locations (high air pollutant concentrations).
