Opportunity description
Preparation of a geotechnical report, preceded by the development of an investigation concept and the procurement documents for the required field investigations for the road section and civil engineering structures. The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Transport – Lüneburg Division – is planning the replacement construction of the Leine bridge in Nordstemmen. The Leine bridge carries federal highway 1 over the Leine near the village of Burgstemmen. The existing bridge structure is a single-span box-girder structure with a total length of 32.65 m and a width of 8.75 m (BW 1137). A historic masonry arch structure directly adjoins it (BW 6262). If an abutment is relocated, the masonry arch structure will probably also be affected and must be redesigned. The Leine flood bridge adjoins 60 m farther west (BW 1136). This is followed by another masonry arch structure (BW 6263). These two structures have a total length of approximately 50 m. Since the chain of bridges comprising four structures must be replaced, the transport facility is being planned in parallel. In the course of the new construction, the adjoining traffic areas of the B001 on both sides must be adapted. The locations of the structures and the bridge inspection records are listed in Annex 1. Structural characteristics of existing structures - BW 6263 B 001 over the Leine flood channel, at km 14.023 (ASB No. 3824 518) - BW 1136 B 001 over the Leine – flood channel / slab-and-beam bridge, grillage bridge (ASB No. 3824 519) - BW 6262 B 001 over the Leine flood channel, at km 13.913 / masonry arch bridge (ASB No. 3824 520) - BW 1137 B 001 bridge over the Leine in Poppenburg at km 13.878 / box-girder bridge (ASB No. 3824 521) The planning area is located in the area of the B 001 (Reichsstraße), west of the village of Burgstemmen, in the district of Hildesheim and the municipality of Nordstemmen. The federal highway is an important connection from Hildesheim via Elze to Hameln and beyond. West of Burgstemmen, the B 001 crosses the Leine and bends almost at a right angle at the entrance to the village, continuing through the village toward Mahlerten. In the area of the curve, Poppenburger Straße (L 410) joins from the north. To the west, the B 001 crosses a DB railway line; the planning area ends here. The subject of this request for services is initially the preparation of an investigation concept on the basis of which ground investigation and drill-core sampling within the investigation area are to be carried out by an external company. The preparation of the procurement documents (service description, bill of quantities, etc. for the ground investigation) in accordance with VOB is also part of the services. The geotechnical field investigations (drilling services, soil sampling, etc.) and drill-core sampling will be awarded by the contracting authority to an external company and must be accompanied and supervised on site by the contractor. The type and scope of the investigations are to be determined by the contractor. The anticipated scope of the investigations should be roughly estimated and then taken into account when calculating the tender. The contractor is responsible for preparing, supervising and evaluating the ground investigations. After the ground investigation has been carried out, the resulting soil samples and drill cores are to be assessed by an expert, examined in the laboratory, evaluated, and presented and assessed in geotechnical reports. Ground assessments with corresponding foundation proposals are to be provided for the planned bridge structure. The results are to be compiled in separate geotechnical design reports a) for the road section and b) for the structures. The contractor will create a digital ground model using the BIM method, which can be incorporated into the overall planning as a specialist model by the commissioned design offices for the main specialist disciplines (road and bridge). Procedure: open. Review the original TED notice for the complete requirement, lots, amendments and attachments.
