The Ludwig-Reinhard-Schule is a support centre specialising in intellectual development and a place of learning for currently 172 pupils. Due to the intensive assistance, almost 100 educators and specialists are employed here. The expanded existing building can be divided into several building sections: the west section (built in 1967, three storeys) will undergo complete refurbishment and be extended westwards; the southwest section (built in 1987, two storeys + basement) will be refurbished; the northwest section (built in 1967, single storey), including the small sports hall and assembly hall, will be demolished and the assembly hall rebuilt. The north section (built in 2000, single storey) will remain unaffected by the refurbishment measures, but will accommodate 3 primary school classes as temporary facilities during construction. The new double-court sports hall is planned as a detached structure in the southeast of the property. The gross building volume of the existing building is 18,535 m².
