Ventilation and air-conditioning technology The City of Gießen intends to construct a replacement workshop building on the grounds of the “Theodor-Litt-Schule” property in Gießen. It is a two-storey building for the vocational training of skilled trades. The floor area of each storey is approximately 3000 m². The following measures are planned for the ventilation and air-conditioning works: The rooms on the ground floor and upper floor will be used as workshops, some with machinery training stations, as well as for theoretical instruction. Here, the hygienically necessary air exchange will be provided by central partial air-conditioning systems. On the floors, the air distribution will be integrated into the timber structure as a sophisticated exposed installation. The basement contains all the technical equipment required for building operations: the utility connections, electrical, heating, drinking-water and compressed-air distributors, central units for the ventilation and air-conditioning systems, as well as the extraction systems for the woodworking machines and welding training stations. The RLT installation scope essentially consists of: 3 central RLT units, 2x approximately 15,000 m³/h, 1x approximately 3,500 m³/h with heat recovery, 3 duct fans up to 200 m³/h, approximately 3,200 m² of ducts and fittings, approximately 70% dimensions in billing group 1, 51 fire dampers, 70 variable volume-flow controllers, 110 silencers, 200 ceiling air outlets, 100 m² special construction for an AUL shaft made of sandwich panels, including supporting structure, to be installed in the building with the correspondingly required components and accessories.
