DLR is planning the new construction of the Galileo Competence Center at the Oberpfaffenhofen site. The intended use is to be structured similarly to the existing institute buildings at the site and consist of workplaces for around 190 people as well as rooms with specific technical equipment, particularly with regard to indoor climatic conditions and security requirements. In addition, a public area is planned as a communicative space for the presentation and discussion of research results. The subject of the contract is the manufacture and installation of 4 VS security doors, special doors designed as double-walled steel doors in escape routes. In terms of building physics, the doors meet the requirements for burglary resistance in accordance with VS II. Locking is achieved via a double-bit high-security lock with BSI approval.
