Ruhrbahn GmbH ensures the mobility of citizens on behalf of the city and connects the individual districts by bus, underground railway, and tram. It is a member of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr. One of its tasks is the maintenance and new construction of infrastructure for buses and trams. This relates both to the route networks in the urban areas of Essen and Mülheim and to the associated structures, depots, administrative buildings, and a large number of smaller properties. Ruhrbahn GmbH is modernizing the infrastructure at the Ruhrallee site through various construction measures. One of the projects initiated for the aforementioned purpose is the construction of new outdoor lighting and the power supply for the new communications distribution cabinets in the outdoor area of the H2 filling station at the Ruhrallee depot in Essen.
