The Ludwig-Reinhard School is a special education center focusing on intellectual development and a place of learning for currently 172 students. Due to the intensive assistance, almost 100 educators and specialists are employed here. The expanded existing building can be divided into several building sections: West section (built in 1967, three stories) will undergo complete refurbishment and be extended to the west, Southwest section (built in 1987, two stories + basement) will be renovated, Northwest section (built in 1967, single story) with small sports hall and assembly hall will be demolished and the assembly hall rebuilt as an extension. The North section (built in 2000, single story) will remain unaffected by the renovation work, but will accommodate 3 elementary school classes on an interim basis during the construction period. The new double sports hall is planned as a detached structure in the southeast of the property. The BRI of the existing building is 18,535 m².
