Opportunity description
The Museum of Hamburg History at Holstenwall 24 in Hamburg was constructed between 1914 and 1922 and is a listed building. The planned measures include the comprehensive modernization and renovation of all floors, focusing on the structural measures required for the new installation of the permanent exhibition on the 1st and 2nd floors, as well as the redesign and restructuring of visitor infrastructure, educational areas, museum shop and restaurant. The museum has a net room area of approx. 13,400m² and a gross floor area of approx. 17,500m². In addition, the covered inner courtyard and the outdoor facilities will also be considered as part of the measures. The present specifications concern interior and exterior wooden window works. They relate to box windows consisting of an inner and an outer window plane, in some cases supplemented by sill cladding in the intermediate space. The tendered service comprises the manufacture, delivery and installation of the inner window plane as a new-build window element – including the sill cladding. The renovation of the outer window plane will be carried out by the client. The new-build windows are to be constructed as side-hung or tilt windows with wooden sash and fixed frames. They are single-part, with transparent infill, and meet the F30 fire protection requirement. In addition, weather protection grilles including wooden frames are provided, which will be inserted into the fixed frame of the existing window. The renovation of the existing fixed frames will likewise be carried out by the client.
