Opportunity description

General: The execution of the fifth construction phase for the new cardiology building at the Schüchtermann-Klinik includes the construction of building section H as an extension to the existing building. The Schüchtermann-Klinik will remain operational throughout the entire new construction project, meaning that increased emission-control requirements apply. When large areas of the existing building are opened, the facility’s own hygiene standards must also be observed. General building description: Building section H consists of an L-shaped building wing directly adjoining an operational hospital building. The building wing consists of 2 full floors (ground floor, 1st upper floor), a recessed top floor (2nd upper floor), and a basement. Building construction: The load-bearing and bracing structural components, including the stairwells and elevator shafts, will be made of reinforced concrete. The floor slabs will be of solid construction. Load-bearing walls consist of reinforced concrete or sand-lime brick. Non-load-bearing walls consist of drywall or sand-lime brick. Individual windows made of light-metal profiles with a shading system will be installed as part of the façade design. Cladding made of fiber-cement panels will be installed between the windows and on the remaining façade surfaces. In addition to acoustic ceilings, gypsum ceilings, and metal ceilings, plastered surfaces are also planned on the respective floors. The floor coverings in the stairwell areas are to consist of porcelain stoneware, and in the remaining areas of polyvinyl chloride or synthetic rubber. The work involves joinery work for interior wall cladding.
