Opportunity description

The spectral flow cytometer is to be procured through a negotiated procedure without prior call for competition with one company pursuant to Section 14(4) no. 2 letters b and c in conjunction with paragraph 6 VgV. According to the expert scientific assessment, the contract can only be fulfilled by providing the SONY ID7000. Section 14(4) no. 2 VgV covers both the absence of competition for technical reasons and the protection of exclusive rights, in particular industrial property rights. The proposed device will be used to analyze complex biological samples from human and mouse blood or tissue in a broad spectrum of biomedical and immunological research projects, including studies on immune cell dynamics, disease mechanisms and therapeutic interventions. A 7-laser SONY ID7000 spectral flow cytometer will be procured for the high-dimensional analysis of complex biological samples from human and animal blood and tissue. The system is required in particular for multiparameter analyses with more than 40 measurement parameters per individual cell, the examination of highly autofluorescent tissue samples, and the detection of weak signals and rare cell populations. The required configuration includes, in particular, a 320 nm deep-UV laser and an 808 nm infrared laser. Procedure: neg-wo-call.
