Opportunity description

With the construction project "Construction of a New Ward Building," Evangelisches Krankenhaus Mettmann intends to expand neurological care in the Mettmann district and ensure it over the long term. In addition, the new building is to include a geriatric ward as well as diagnostic facilities. The production kitchen, which is responsible for catering for patients and staff as well as external customers, is to be housed on the ground floor. As part of the new construction, the existing single-story kitchen building, which is in need of renovation, is to be carefully dismantled. The four-story ward building is to be erected on this site and is designed so that an additional fourth upper floor can be added. The readability of the respective use is to be reflected in the façade. The ground floor is fully faced with clinker brick, thus forming a plinth. On the north side, this plinth continues onto the 1st upper floor, so that the technical services floor is also enclosed by the clinker-brick façade. Based on the usage requirements agreed with the client and the architects, a total of 1 new lift system is planned in the proposed new building to provide access for people and for the transport of beds and goods. In addition, the replacement of one lift system in the adjacent existing building is planned. Installation of the two lift systems is currently scheduled for April 2027. A detailed installation sequence plan must be coordinated with the construction schedule. The installation of the lift systems will ultimately be coordinated with the client upon request with a lead time of 4 weeks. Procedure: open.
