The contracting authority intends to award a technology partnership for large-scale imaging. Klinikum Memmingen intends to modernize its medical imaging technology—“large-scale equipment” (excluding ultrasound equipment)—using an innovative procurement and provision partnership approach, since, on the one hand, many existing devices have largely reached the end of their useful lives and, on the other hand, the challenges of the relocation phase to the new building must be planned in good time. As part of the planned “Large-Scale Equipment Technology Partnership,” the industry partner is expected not only to provide and manage the medical technology concerned but, above all, to closely support the critical relocation phase lasting approximately one year. This primarily involves 1) managing the structural interface with the specialist planner MTP and 2) ensuring clinical operations at all times. In addition, consulting services are to be provided regarding organizational improvements to operations for optimal utilization, as well as well-founded and forward-looking product selection. Through the targeted use of know-how and faster participation in relevant innovations from the industry partner, a qualitative optimization of the equipment technology in line with the medical requirements structure and of the processes surrounding the equipment is expected. The hospital operates a large number of medical devices. At the time of the data request (May 2026), the project-relevant equipment fleet comprises the devices shown in Annex 1. These include the existing devices that are to be replaced. In addition, there are further devices, some of which are to be offered as options, that may be identified as additional requirements during the dialogue meetings. Based on the findings gathered during the preliminary analysis phase, Klinikum Memmingen has specified the scope of services for the following three project phases so that, during the subsequent implementation phase, the interfaces and complexity of the associated tasks can be reduced: 1) Initial phase until completion of the relocation in 2029: Management of all existing devices. No replacement of stationary large-scale equipment is planned here. 2) (Pre-)relocation phase from 2028 to 2029: Development of a relocation concept for the new building currently under construction, which is scheduled to be occupied in 2029. As early as one year before occupancy, detailed coordination with the industry partner regarding implementation planning and the timing of equipment installation must take place with the specialist planner (MTP). Everyday clinical operations must be able to continue undisturbed at all times. 3) Post-relocation phase from 2030 until the end of the contract, possibly with an optional extension: Disposal, recycling, and sale of equipment no longer used in the old building directly after the relocation.
