Opportunity description

Rheumazentrum Mittelhessen has decided to put out to tender a complete hospital information system for the site that meets KHZG funding criteria 3–6 and that also maps all administrative and clinical processes of an acute-care, AHB and (DRV) rehabilitation clinic. At the site in Bad Endbach, an acute-care clinic with 80 beds and a follow-up curative treatment (AHB) and rehabilitation clinic with 36 beds are available for the holistic treatment of acute and chronic rheumatic diseases. The clinic complex also includes two practices offering medical rheumatology consultations and an outpatient therapy facility for physiotherapy, physical therapies and occupational therapy. Over the years, the clinic area has been continuously modernized and the infrastructure expanded. Rheumazentrum Mittelhessen has decided to put out to tender a complete hospital information system for the site that meets KHZG funding criteria 3–6 and that also maps all administrative and clinical processes of an acute-care, AHB and (DRV) rehabilitation clinic. The future KIS is to be set up so that, in conjunction with other subsystems/modules, it is the patient-managing system. The KIS is to be implemented on the basis of a "Best-Practice" approach as part of a joint project. Accordingly, the contractor is expected to adopt an advisory and process-optimizing approach as part of the software implementation. The software to be supplied must have the capabilities and tools that, for example, enable users to manage the patient's course of treatment as efficiently as possible and to document and bill services quickly, with revenue assurance and in compliance with the KHZG (FTB 3–6). Providers are therefore requested to submit an offer for a complete KHZG-compliant KIS, including all necessary implementation and maintenance/service work, that meets the mandatory criteria of KHZG funding criteria 2–6 (the mandatory criteria for admission and treatment management under FTB 2 are met via the portal solution from Samedi, and discharge and transition management via the solution from Verbund Pflegehilfe (see the "Interfaces" tab of Annex 1); accordingly, in this area the contractor is responsible only for the connection in accordance with the technical requirements and interoperability standards of the KHZG).
