Germany – Medium-voltage cable – Cable material for the operating power route of the Wittenburg compressor station

Opportunity description

Background and description of the project NGT, headquartered in Kassel, is a transmission system operator certified under the Energy Industry Act. The Gas Network Development Plan (abbreviated: Gas NDP 2022-2032) includes, for the purpose of maintaining security of supply, a measure involving the construction of the Wittenburg compressor station (abbreviated: CS), which is to be implemented by the fractional ownership group (abbreviated: BTG) Nordeuropäische Erdgasleitung (abbreviated: NEL). BTG NEL has commissioned NGT to plan and carry out the construction of the Wittenburg CS. GASCADE Gastransport GmbH (hereinafter: GASCADE) is planning and constructing the Wittenburg CS in the name and on behalf of NGT. In this context, the new compressor station in Wittenburg will be constructed with three compressors and their entire ancillary infrastructure, consisting among other things of filters, coolers, operating buildings, measurement and electrical equipment, pipelines and fittings. Project description The Wittenburg CS is scheduled to be commissioned in 2028. At the start of the construction phase, NGT requires a professionally and technically qualified company to supply technically complete and ready-for-operation cable materials for the construction of the operating power route. A reliable power supply is essential to ensure safe and uninterrupted gas transport in a timely manner in order to maintain security of supply. Subject matter of the procurement The subject matter of the contract is the supply of technically complete and ready-for-operation materials by the contractor. The supply must be carried out in accordance with the contracting authority's Technical Specifications and the services specified by the contractor in the price sheet (see Annex B.1). The contractor is obliged to comply fully with and ensure the characteristics of the materials and components specified therein. NGT has commissioned WEMAG Projektentwicklung GmbH as the general planner for the construction of an operating power route from the Wölzow substation (UW) to the Wittenburg CS. The cable material required for this is the subject of this procurement. Overview of services The services to be provided consist in particular of - manufacture of the cables, if applicable - planning and implementation of delivery logistics, - delivery of the cables on drums, the protective conduits, connectors, jointing sleeves and other materials, - storage, if applicable, and unloading, if applicable, of medium-voltage cables, cable protection conduits, connectors, jointing sleeves and other materials - loan, rental or subletting and provision of empty cable drums, - collection of empty cable drums from the contracting authority, if applicable - any disposal of packaging materials The detailed description of services can be found in Annex B.1 and the draft contract with appendices (Annex B.2).
