The City of Hamm (contracting authority) is inviting tenders, in an EU-wide open procedure, for the service of continuing the implementation of age-friendly neighborhood development, with 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) in each of the Hammer-Norden and Herringen neighborhoods for the years 2027 to 2029, subject to secured financing and approval of the 2027 budget plan et seq. Neighborhood work is carried out primarily in the three fields of action “Residential environment and neighborhood design,” “Health promotion,” and “Social participation.” The fields of action “Housing” and “Care and Social Services,” which are also listed in the “Growing Older in Hamm!” action plan, are represented in the neighborhoods and social areas by information and advisory services, but their planning and operational orientation is more centralized. The field of action “Residential environment and neighborhood design” includes barrier-free access to basic services, infrastructure facilities and local recreation areas, which are to be designed in line with needs, as well as crime-prevention measures. People growing older should feel safe in their district. Another important point is participation and involvement in shaping the community. After all, neighborhood development depends particularly on giving greater attention to the needs and suggestions of people growing older. Maintaining health in old age is to be supported through a health-promoting lifestyle and the appropriate use of preventive-care and healthcare services. Neighborhood work therefore encourages and promotes additional health-promotion offerings and measures. Procedure: open.
