This prior information notice serves as a MARKET EXPLORATION for the procurement of molded acrylic glass parts. A suitable manufacturer of acrylic glass elements is required for the renovation of the National Theatre in Mannheim. The prior information notice serves to prepare a procurement procedure for, inter alia, commissioning the procurement and installation of the acrylic glass elements. The original balustrade glazing of the boxes in the opera house (approx. 130 units) consists of acrylic glass bent multiple times and will be faithfully renewed as part of the renovation in accordance with historic monument requirements. On the one hand, the shape of the panels must be reproduced exactly; on the other hand, the surface structure must correspond to the original as closely as possible. After evaluating the responses to this prior information notice, the contracting authority will decide whether the services must be put out to tender on a product-neutral basis as part of the tendered metalworking construction works or whether a suitable manufacturer can be proposed. It is not intended that the contracting authority procure the products itself!
