Opportunity description

For the comprehensive renovation of St. Mary’s Town Church, specialist restoration planning is being put out to tender as Lot 3. Notwithstanding repair work already carried out on Meiningen Town Church, there remains a considerable need for renovation. In particular, the natural stone façades, roof and load-bearing structures, as well as the historic leaded glazing, exhibit age- and weather-related damage that necessitates comprehensive and coordinated renovation planning. Against this background, the Town Church is to be sustainably repaired, taking into account heritage conservation, structural, restoration and economic requirements, and secured in the long term for its future use. The objective is an overall renovation that can be implemented in stages while preserving as much of the historic building fabric as possible. To carry out the planning services, the following specialist lots are being awarded as part of this procurement procedure: Lot 1 - Building design planning pursuant to Sections 33 et seq.
