As part of a Europe-wide procurement procedure, the City of Viersen is seeking a contractual partner to undertake the services of an extended turnkey contractor for all planning and construction services, including construction-period financing, as well as operational services, particularly technical building management, over a long term for the planned expansion of Körnerschule in Viersen. Ownership of the property and the building to be constructed will remain with the City of Viersen. Körnerschule in the City of Viersen is in a structural condition requiring renovation. Furthermore, the existing space is insufficient for the proper schooling of the current and anticipated numbers of pupils. For these reasons, Körnerschule is to be renovated and expanded. The expansion is planned in the form of a newly constructed separate building in the immediate vicinity of the existing building on property owned by the City of Viersen. Following the legally effective acceptance of the planning and construction services, the contractor shall provide all technical building maintenance services specified in the Functional Specification for Operations (F.1.01), together with its annexes, for a period of 25 years.
