Opportunity description

Purchase of 2 new or as-new continuous-feed printing systems (simplex/duplex operation, inkjet-based B/W printing), each with a performance speed of at least 2,000 printed pages/min. (duplex operation), optional upgrade to color printing, maintenance, spare/wear parts+operating supplies, installation / commissioning of the new systems, on-site instruction, return+recycling of old equipment, GWL and optional services The subject matter of this invitation to tender is: • the purchase of 2 new or as-new continuous-feed printing systems (inkjet-based B/W printing; during the term of the contract, an additional conversion or upgrade of the systems to color printing is also planned ("field upgrade"), uniform model series and identical processing speeds of at least approx. 2,000 printed pages/min. in duplex operation) with the performance characteristics specified in the specifications • delivery and ready-for-operation installation of the continuous-feed printing systems at the BA in Nuremberg • commissioning Müller Martini with any necessary adaptation of the already existing "HUNKELER UW8" roll unwinding modules or "HUNKELER RW8" roll rewinding modules • instruction of BA’s internal operating personnel ("Users") in the new systems • in-depth training of BA’s internal deployment managers/deputy deployment managers ("Super Users") • claims arising from defects (service concept) for a period of 7 years from commissioning • delivery of spare / wear parts required for operation of the continuous-feed printing systems as part of user-charge billing or the flat-rate maintenance fee. For this purpose, an estimated annual print volume totaling 750 million printed pages may be assumed (DIN A4, almost exclusively duplex printing) • delivery of black ink or, if required, colored ink, including any necessary additives such as cleaning fluid and / or finisher, but no paper; call-offs will be made at regular intervals via the catalog procedure. The average ink coverage of the documents is 3% (fluctuation range +/- 10%); the best possible print quality or corresponding ink application at a high-performance maximum printing speed is required • optional use of chargeable services to restore the printing systems outside the regular service period (Monday - Friday 18:00 - 08:00, Saturdays/Sundays and public holidays 00:00 - 24:00) • establishment of a free consignment warehouse stocking the most commonly used spare / wear parts at the BA in Nuremberg, • collection and recycling of the currently used continuous-feed printing systems of the Canon VarioStream 4650 model series • Free return and disposal of empty ink containers or any other empty cartridges and spare and wear parts that are not (or are no longer) functional throughout the entire contract term.
