Opportunity description

The subject matter is the provision of scheduled local rail passenger transport services amounting to approximately 7.3 million train-kilometres p.a. on the following lines: • S 2: Dessau – Bitterfeld – Leipzig – Markkleeberg-Gaschwitz, • S 7: Eilenburg – Delitzsch – Halle (Saale) – Lu. Eisleben – Sangerhausen, • S 8: Dessau/Lu. Wittenberg – Bitterfeld – Halle (Saale), • RE 13: Magdeburg – Dessau – Leipzig, • RB 51: Dessau – Lu. Wittenberg – Falkenberg (Elster), • RE 14: Dessau – Lu. Wittenberg In addition, the contract in question provides for the following operating services to be commissioned as options: • the provision of transport services on line RB 52 Magdeburg Hbf – Dessau Hbf with a volume of approximately 0.7 million train-kilometres p.a. (Option 1), • the provision of transport services on line S 22 Leipzig Hbf – Delitzsch CTC with a volume of approximately 0.19 million train-kilometres p.a. (Option 2), • the provision of transport services to increase the frequency of line RB 51 to an hourly service on the Lutherstadt Wittenberg – Falkenberg section, with a volume of approximately 0.27 million train-kilometres p.a. (Option 3) • the provision of the transport services covered by the contract in the 2046 timetable year (Option 4). The decision to commission these optional operating services will be made upon award by the respective competent authority concerned: the State of Saxony-Anhalt for Option 1, the Leipzig Local Transport Area Association for Option 2, and the State of Saxony-Anhalt and the State of Brandenburg for Option 3. The optional operating services will commence no earlier than the timetable change in December 2031 (14.12.2031) and no later than the timetable change in December 2032 (12.12.2032).
