Germany – Radio, television, communication, telecommunication and related equipment – Procurement of 90 Iridium PTT satellite radios (MRT)

Opportunity description

The subject of this procurement is the delivery of 90 Iridium PTT satellite radios (MRT) to 90 different addresses designated by the contracting authority. To ensure reliable communication capability at all times for the higher and lower fire service supervisory authorities, the Ministry of the Interior procured Iridium PTT satellite radios from abel & käufl Mobilfunkhandels GmbH in 2024, including the associated "K-Funk" infrastructure environment. The radios to be delivered must be compatible with and integrated into the system already operated by abel & käufl Mobilfunkhandels GmbH. The scope of delivery also includes the required connection cables, antenna components and 230V power supplies. Furthermore, the service includes the basic configuration of the device software, the initial setup and commissioning of the devices, as well as the provision of the required software updates and a suitable tool for future software updates in the existing K-Funk system. The use of the existing K-Funk call groups must be ensured. Operating costs must be taken into account until the end of the contract term on 14.05.2030. To ensure that a uniform operating and security standard is maintained for the end devices used, the tenderer must enter into internal agreements with our service contract partner abel & käufl containing provisions on support, troubleshooting, warranty and change management.
