Procurement of 23 Type C rescue transport vehicles (RTW) (including an option for 5 chassis with all-wheel drive) The Essen Fire Department is procuring 23 Type C ambulances in accordance with DIN EN 1846 1 ff, DIN 14502, DIN 13500, 13073, DIN 1865 and DIN EN 1789:2024-07 (Type C), UVV DGUV V71 Vehicles, in their respective currently valid versions and in accordance with the following specifications (LVZ) and this preliminary note. The Essen Fire Department wishes 5 of the 23 vehicles to be offered as 4x4 all-wheel-drive ambulances. A corresponding option for the tenderer is included in the specifications. This will also be preferred as part of the award criteria with regard to the cost-effectiveness assessment (see evaluation matrix). At the time of delivery, the rescue transport vehicles (RTW) must comply with the applicable DIN and EN standards, the StVZO, accident prevention regulations, DVS Information Sheet 0211 (compressed-gas cylinders in enclosed motor vehicles), the latest state of the art, other statutory provisions and, in their complete configuration, the applicable EMC provisions.
