Opportunity description

The school childcare locations in Karlsruhe listed below (formerly after-school care centers) are to be supplied with lunches from 14 September 2026 on all school days and, as needed, during the holidays. The following closure periods are excluded: the first week of the Christmas holidays and the third to fifth weeks of the summer holidays. If the timing of public holidays during the Christmas holidays results in additional days off, these will be used during the year as school-free bridge days. No lunches are to be delivered on these days. With the exception of Lot 4b), the facilities are open on around 220 days per year. For Lot 4b), an average of 114 catering days is assumed. The following facilities have been grouped into lots: Lot 1 a) Eggensteiner Straße location Lot 1 b) Am Brurain location Lot 1 c) Lassallestraße location Lot 2 a) Kanalweg location Lot 2 b) Rhode-Island Allee location Lot 3 a) Hopfenstraße location Lot 3 b) Koelreuterstraße location Lot 4 a) Hardtstraße location Lot 4 b) Albschule branch at Vogesenschule location Lot 5 a) Sophienstraße location Lot 5 b) Scheffelstraße location Lot 6 Weinbrennerstraße location Lot 7 Blütenweg location Lot 8 Frühlingstraße location Lot 9 Albert-Braun-Straße location Lot 10 Breite Straße location Lot 11 Thomas-Mann Straße location Lot 12 Riedstraße location The contract for all lots begins on 14 September 2026 and initially runs until 10 September 2027. The contract is automatically extended by a further school year and, if required, to the subsequent summer holidays if the contracting authority does not give written notice of termination at the end of the school year by 30 April of a given year. The contract ends no later than 7 September 2029. By way of derogation, the following anticipated earlier contract end dates apply: Lot 1 b) Am Brurain is expected to end no later than 8 September 2028. For Lot 3 b) Koelreuterstraße, the anticipated latest contract end date is set for 30 April 2029. The contractor reserves the right to extend the contract until 7 September 2029. Any possible contract extension will be communicated no later than two months before the end of the contract. For Lot 7 Blütenweg, the anticipated latest contract end date is set for 31 December 2028. The contracting authority cannot guarantee fixed purchase quantities during the entire term of the contract. The stated figures for the number of meals per day are calculation values and were determined on the basis of available meal figures at the facilities from 2025/2026. The number of children in the facilities is expected to increase – except at the locations that are being phased out. The principles of the recommendations of the German Nutrition Society were used in preparing the specification.
