Germany – Security software package – TNWB: Security solution for networked medical technology (IoMT) and building management technology (OT/GLT)

Opportunity description

The aim of the project is to introduce a specialized security solution for the transparent recording, monitoring and protection of all networked medical devices, IoT devices and GLT components. The project pursues the following strategic and operational objectives: • Establishment of complete visibility of all networked IT and medical devices, IoT devices and GLT components in the network of Klinikum Esslingen • Passive, non-invasive monitoring of medically critical network segments without any impairment of clinical systems or ongoing patient care • Systematic vulnerability management for networked medical devices, taking into account clinical criticality and regulatory frameworks (MDR EU 2017/745) • Real-time detection of network communication anomalies and threats through network-based detection (NDR) • Fulfilment of the regulatory requirements arising from NIS-2/BSIG and GDPR, as well as alignment with B3S healthcare provision as the state of the art • Creation of the technical prerequisites for connection to the planned XDR platform (Sophos XDR) or a future SIEM integration Procedure: neg-w-call.
