Opportunity description

The subject of the procurement is the provision of cardiac perfusion services, including the provision of personnel, equipment and consumables, for University Hospital Frankfurt (Department of Cardiac and Thoracic Vascular Surgery, Department of Anesthesiology and Department of Cardiology/Internal Medicine, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory). The scope of services comprises approximately 1,200 operations annually in two to three operating rooms with heart-lung machine operation, approximately 300 procedures on standby (primarily OPCAB), approximately 150 temporary cardiac support procedures (ECMO/ECLS), approximately 10–20 artificial heart implantations, approximately 5 IABP procedures and approximately 3–3.5 days of standby for transapical and transfemoral valve implantations (TAVI). The contractor must provide qualified specialist personnel (at least five full-time cardiac perfusionists) for the comprehensive provision of all cardiac perfusion services. The provision of services includes permanent availability during regular and on-call duty, including core hours Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00 or 20:00, as well as on-call duty periods on weekends and public holidays. In addition, the contractor shall provide all necessary latest-generation equipment in accordance with the requirements of medical device law and ensure its permanent technical functionality, maintenance and the performance of safety inspections. All necessary consumables must be provided in a timely manner and as required, in the quality levels defined by the reference products. The consumables and equipment required for ACT measurements and CoaguChek PTT measurements must also be provided. The contract term is four years. Procedure: neg-w-call.
