Mechanical equipment A largely new construction of the Ober-Eschbach wastewater treatment plant is planned. A key constraint is that there must be no reduction in the plant's treatment performance during the construction work. Therefore, existing plant components may only be taken out of service once the corresponding new plant components have been constructed and are ready for operation. For this reason, in the construction phase comprising the mechanical equipment for the influent pumping station tendered here, the expansion site in the northern part of the wastewater treatment plant site is to be developed. The following structures will be newly constructed: -Technical Building 1 (TG01), which essentially contains the following plant components: screening plant, influent pumping station, sand washer, sieving plant, container system for screenings, sand and sieved material, blower station for the aeration and grit chamber, excess sludge pumping station, laboratory; -Grit and grease chamber (SF); -Primary clarification (VK); -Aeration basin (BB); -Pipe channels to the aeration basin and primary clarification. All new structures will be located on the open area north of the existing access road. The wastewater treatment plant influent is routed through the screening plant located in Technical Building 1 (TG01) and lifted into the grit chamber (SF) by the influent pumping station. After passing through the grit chamber and primary clarification (VK), the wastewater is routed back into the technical building and further pretreated there in the sieving plant before flowing through the aeration pipe channel to the aeration basin (BB). From the aeration basin, the wastewater-activated sludge mixture is routed back through the aeration pipe channel into Technical Building 01. The expansion site is situated higher than the current wastewater treatment plant site. The wastewater must therefore be lifted to the level of the expansion site by means of an influent pumping station. To increase the operational reliability of the pumps, the pumping station is located downstream of the screening plant. After the pumping station, the wastewater flows by gravity through the entire wastewater treatment plant to the outlet. Essentially, the following quantities (approx.) are tendered: - 7 pumps; - 1 compressed-air generation system; - approx. 30 shut-off devices, 8 of which have pneumatic actuators; - approx. 90 m of piping including supports.
