Opportunity description
As part of a market consultation/RFI (Request for Information) for the selection of video security systems in its cash-processing branches, the Deutsche Bundesbank intends to carry out an initial assessment of the system compatibility of solutions available on the market with the functional, technical and regulatory requirements. Extensive standard functionalities are expected, particularly with regard to continuously retrievable recordings that are admissible in court. In addition, the solution must take IT security requirements (BSI baseline protection) into account. A resource-efficient support structure must enable nationwide service within appropriate response times. It must be possible to integrate existing camera technology. The future viability of the system, particularly with regard to AI technologies, modularity and update capability, must also be ensured. Participation in the RFI is based on a questionnaire. The key points regarding the procedure are set out below: 1. Providers may contact the functional email address viba2028@bundesbank.de by 30 September and request the questionnaire. 2. The questionnaire must be answered within two weeks. 3. The answers must be returned to the Deutsche Bundesbank no later than 10 October. 4. The initial assessment of system compatibility with the aforementioned requirements will be based on the submitted answers to the questionnaire. 5. The Deutsche Bundesbank reserves the right subsequently to hold clarification and specification discussions with the providers on the basis of the documentation available. 6. The assessment will focus in particular on the functional and technical requirements for video security systems, the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the recordings, the ability to provide services, and the integration capability of the systems. 7. In addition, data protection requirements and the future viability of the solution, particularly with regard to AI technologies, modularity and update capability, will be taken into account.
