The Mainzer Straße (UW 11), Rathaus (UW 12), and Hauptbahnhof (UW 13) substations are part of Saarbahn Netz GmbH’s 750 V DC traction power supply. Due to the discontinuation of essential electrical engineering components and the limited availability of spare parts, modernization and partial renewal measures are required for the DC switchgear systems, the control and remote-control technology, and the auxiliary systems. The aim of the measure is to ensure the long-term operational reliability and security of supply of the systems. The services include, in particular, the renewal of selected switchgear components, control and signaling equipment, as well as adaptations to the power supply systems.
