Germany – Tablet computer – Framework agreement (RV) for the procurement of tablets and smartphones, including accessories and services

Opportunity description

Through this procurement procedure, the Brandenburg IT Service Provider intends to expand its product catalog to include smaller mobile devices and smartphones. Our product portfolio currently includes tablets with the Windows operating system. This invitation to tender is intended to offer highly mobile devices, both tablet-format devices with smaller display sizes and smartphones in bar form. For smartphones, a distinction is made only according to one display size or only one form factor class; for tablets, the desired display sizes are divided into two size categories or form factor classes. As display size decreases, the variety of tablet models that support the Windows operating system decreases sharply. Therefore, devices with alternative operating systems must be offered. Over the entire term, the contracting authority anticipates a forecast total volume of approximately 5,000 tablets and 3,000 smartphones, including services, plus accessories. A breakdown by operating system is not possible, as this depends on user preferences. The contracting authority has no obligation to order the products and/or quantities.
