The Ludwig-Reinhard School is a special education center focusing on intellectual development and currently serves as a place of learning for 172 students. Due to the intensive assistance provided, almost 100 educators and specialists are employed here. The expanded existing building can be divided into several building sections: the west section (built in 1967, three stories) will undergo complete renovation and be extended westward; the southwest section (built in 1987, two stories + basement) will be renovated; the northwest section (built in 1967, single-story), including the small sports hall and assembly hall, will be demolished, and the assembly hall will be rebuilt as an extension. The north section (built in 2000, single-story) will remain unaffected by the renovation measures, but will accommodate 3 primary school classes as an interim facility during construction. The new double sports hall is planned as a detached building in the southeast of the property. The BRI of the existing building is 18,535 m². After renovation and extension, including the sports hall, it will be 37,634 m².
