The objective of this funding measure is to support effective and technology-neutral broadband expansion in the project area for the construction of a sustainable, future-proof and high-performance broadband network (gigabit network) in the underserved areas. The network operator that is awarded the contract upon completion of this selection procedure will receive a service concession to construct and operate a gigabit-capable network for the entire area (Lot 1 + Lot 2 + Lot 3). For this purpose, the successful bidder plans, constructs and operates the required passive and active network infrastructure, including all civil engineering works and components to be applied in accordance with the generally accepted engineering standards that are necessary to connect the underserved subscribers to a high-performance gigabit network. Details of the coverage area: Entire area (1,509 addresses according to the address list, see the "Lot formation" column). The network operator that is awarded the contract upon completion of this selection procedure will receive a service concession to construct and operate a gigabit-capable network for a sub-area (Lot 1).
