Opportunity description
The construction project put out to tender is the “Extension of the DP World siding in Wolfenbüttel-Linden” in Wolfenbüttel. The contracting authority is DP World Logistics Chemical Germany GmbH as part of the “Construction of a new logistics hall in Wolfenbüttel” project. The construction project comprises the expansion and adaptation of the existing track system for the transshipment of goods by rail wagon. The site is located in the Wolfenbüttel-Linden industrial area, with road access via federal highway 79. On the rail side, it is connected to the single-track, non-electrified line 1942 Wolfenbüttel – Schöppenstedt via an existing siding. The works are divided into two parts: new track construction (extension) and track construction works on the existing infrastructure (replacement construction and conversion). The works are divided into two parts: new track construction (extension) and track construction works on the existing infrastructure (replacement construction and conversion): I. New track construction (extension): Tracks 4 and 4a will be raised and extended (340 m), connected by a switch, and a new track 7, which runs through a loading hall with a loading ramp, and 4 track support troughs (L=7.50 m x W=3.80 m, approx. 30 m ramp length) will be constructed. Over 131 m, this track has a radius of 120 m and will therefore be fitted with sleeper caps. In addition, shunting paths and lighting masts with foundations will be constructed. This comprises 720 m of new track construction works with a formation protection layer and deep drainage. II. Replacement construction and conversion: The L2 trap switch secured by a bolt lock, the headshunt track 5, connecting track 6, and tracks 1, 2 and 3 will be replaced. This means that 850 m of track will be removed, the track ballast cleaned, and the sleepers and rails renewed. In addition, three further switches will be refurbished, 6 switches removed, and 2 switches removed and reinstalled at another location. In track 1, 15 track support troughs, L=7.50 m x W=3.80 m, will be installed in the ramp area. In addition, lighting masts with foundations will be constructed. Details of the procurement scope are set out in the procurement documents, particularly the schedule of services together with its annexes. Procedure: open.
