Replacement construction of a medium-voltage switchgear system including construction of a new operations building The subject of the contract is the replacement construction of an operations building including a 10-kV medium-voltage switchgear system for Substation 1 of Stadtwerke Velbert. The contract is awarded as a functional general contractor service with system responsibility resting with the contractor. The contract comprises the complete building, approval and execution planning as well as the turnkey delivery, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and documen-tation of a complete, functional overall system ready for acceptance. This includes, in particular, the operations building with the necessary technical an-cillary rooms, technical building equipment and outdoor facilities, the 10-kV medium-voltage switchgear system including the protection, control, management, remote-control, communi-cation, auxiliary power and ancillary systems, all necessary earthworks, civil engineering, founda-tion, cable construction and installation work, as well as the construction of the grounding, equipotential bond-ing, cable and other infrastructure systems. Also included is the complete integration of the new overall system into the exist-ing medium-voltage network and into the existing protection, control, remote-control, communica-tion and ancillary systems. The contractor bears overall responsibility for the planning, coordination and execution of all services, including all technical, structural, operational and organiza-tional interfaces, through to the complete system being ready for operation and acceptance.
