The Regionaltangente West (RTW) is a new tangential rail link in the Rhine-Main region intended to improve local public passenger rail transport in the Frankfurt am Main metropolitan area. Its primary purpose is to better connect the western districts of the city of Frankfurt am Main and the surrounding districts, cities, and municipalities with one another, as well as to provide better access to Frankfurt Airport. The project is divided into the planning approval sections PFA North, PFA Central, PFA South I, and PFA South II. The services tendered here concern the North planning approval section. The planning approval decision for the Central section has been available since 22 June 2023 and is included with the procurement documents. The subject matter of this invitation to tender comprises the following services: As part of the construction of the rail infrastructure facilities for the Regionaltangente West (RTW), earthworks and drainage systems are to be carried out in the North planning approval section. Implementation of the measure includes the planning and construction of the earthworks and drainage systems in the Praunheim area and the connection of the earthworks to DB InfraGO AG's existing Line 3611. Furthermore, all associated preparatory construction services (explosive ordnance detection work, safety services, etc.) form part of this invitation to tender. The following main services are to be carried out: - Earthworks: approx. 175,000 m³ - Installation of drainage pipes: approx. 2,000 m (DN300–1400), including manhole structures and a lifting station - Pipe jacking beneath DB's existing Line 3611.
