Opportunity description

Construction of all BE areas and construction roads in planning approval section 5.15 of the ABS Hanau-Gelnhausen. The section belongs to line 3600/3677 between railway km 32.6 and 39.0 and passes through the two transport stations of Langenselbold and Niedermittlau. In total, the volume to be constructed comprises approx. 60 BE areas (sections) with a total area of approx. 111,000 m², as well as approx. 33 construction roads (sections) with an approximate total length of 15,600 m. In accordance with the attached BE/BS planning, the BE areas are located close to the route and are accessed by construction roads running almost continuously parallel to the railway embankment, with occasional branches onto agricultural roads. Site clearance will be carried out by a separate contractor. During the performance period for constructing the construction roads and BE areas, a separate contractor for clearance-cutting work will therefore be working and available in parallel. Key challenges: 1) To the north along the route is a flood-prone area with significant flooding potential. 2) High groundwater levels: The groundwater levels in the structure area are highly dependent on precipitation. Maximum groundwater levels can temporarily reach ground level (GOK). 3) During implementation of the BE/BS measures in PFA 5.15, extensive line and station reconstruction work will take place in the adjacent PFA 5.16 (Hailer-Meerholz) and PFA 5.17 (Gelnhausen). The construction road network and logistical hubs must therefore be used jointly, in part or occasionally, at the PFA boundary with 5.15. Procedure: open.
