The new Gesamtschule Nord+ is being built on the former industrial site in Kassel's Nord-Holland district. The modern school center provides space for approximately 1,200 pupils. It combines a three-stream primary level and a six-stream secondary level. The services comprise, in detail, the construction, delivery and installation of the ventilation and air-conditioning systems for the entire property. This includes the supply and exhaust ventilation of all rooms, such as classrooms, administrative rooms, library, etc. In addition, a ventilation system is planned for the kitchen and a separate roof fan for the grease-laden exhaust air. The cafeteria, as a place of assembly, will receive regular supply and exhaust ventilation via a ventilation and air-conditioning system. In addition, a mechanical smoke extraction system extending above the roof will be provided. A combined ventilation duct will be used for this purpose, carrying both room exhaust air and smoke extraction air. Furthermore, various small ventilation systems will be installed, for example for the waste room, emergency lighting, laboratory exhaust air, etc. A chimney system will be installed for routing the exhaust air from the ceramic kiln, located within an L90 lightweight construction shaft. In addition, ductwork must be installed for the existing dust extraction system of the woodworking machines. Another component consists of the sound insulation measures between room partition walls in accordance with the building physics and acoustics planning.
