The construction site is located in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, at the end of the Trebbiner Str. cul-de-sac, which serves as the public access road to the Technology Museum, on the grounds of the 'Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin'. The entire building services system of the old-building section is to be renewed. Service put out to tender here: ventilation technology. The renovation described is intended to broadly follow the individual construction phases, which are based on the electrical and sanitary trades. These run vertically through the building. Areas on the ground floor and 1st floor will remain in ongoing museum operation. The construction areas will be separated from the areas kept in operation with visitor traffic by temporary partitions using suitable dust-protection walls and the like. Nevertheless, the construction activities must be carried out with extensive consideration for museum operations. All ventilation technology measures intended to take place in these sensitive areas must strictly follow the construction phases. This applies in particular to the ventilation cleaning work.
