Opportunity description
Energy renovation of the Kleinenbremen Visitor Mine and Museum - Ventilation technology The Minden-Lübbecke District will convert and renovate the Kleinenbremen Visitor Mine and Museum (BBMK) to improve the energy efficiency of the property and bring it up to current technical standards. The “Kleinenbremen Visitor Mine and Museum” (BBMK) is the only authentically preserved iron ore mine and museum in the Westphalia region. The buildings on the property were constructed between 1935 and 1938 and reflect the architecture and industrial style of that period. The mining operation itself was active through 1957 and thus played a significant role in the regional economy and culture. Today, interested visitors can not only tour the historic sites, but also learn more about mining techniques and challenges. The BBMK is therefore an important place for education and remembrance of mining history in Westphalia. Due to its inclusion in the list of protected monuments (No. 0175), all parts of the buildings are subject to ensemble monument protection, which encompasses both the exterior and interior design. Since 1988, the property has been used as a museum with an attached workshop as well as storage and exhibition areas. A hazardous substances report has been prepared. This must be taken into account and observed during the work. The renovation measure initially includes demolition, gutting and dismantling work in the building, which has a total of 3 floors. The scope of this invitation to tender comprises all work required for the heat supply systems trade. When disposing of construction debris, the transport routes from the removal site to the entrances and exits for disposal must be taken into account. Work and storage areas: Outdoor work and storage areas, as well as areas for the construction site facilities, are planned. Parking spaces: A large visitor parking lot adjoins the museum, part of which will be reserved for construction vehicles. Construction power: Construction power will be provided externally by the client through a specialist company. After completion of all work, the entire conversion area must be left carefully swept clean. All areas required for the immediate construction site must be prepared by the contractor at its own expense. The areas must be coordinated with the client and construction management and left clean again after completion of the work.
