The construction project involves the new extension building of the Marie-Curie-Gymnasium in 16540 Hohen Neuendorf. The building directly adjoins the existing building, has a partial basement and three above-ground floors (ground floor–2nd upper floor). The net floor area is approximately 1,670 m², and the gross volume is approximately 7,000 m³. The new extension building will be constructed using reinforced concrete (mixed construction: precast and semi-precast components and in-situ concrete) with an ETICS façade. As part of the structural works, there will be minor interventions in the cafeteria of the existing building. School operations must be able to continue without restrictions throughout the entire construction work. A central ventilation system with heat recovery is planned for supplying and extracting air from the classrooms in the school extension building in Hohen Neuendorf. The system will be controlled based on CO2 levels and occupancy and will ensure the required indoor air quality in accordance with DIN EN 16798-1. In addition, the teaching kitchen will receive a separate kitchen exhaust air system. The toilet areas will be mechanically ventilated. Execution will take into account the requirements for sound, fire and thermal insulation. A mono-split refrigeration system with an output of 5 kW is planned for the server room in the basement.
