The entire construction project will be carried out while the existing plant remains in operation and, in the first construction phase, consists of the following 3 core phases: 1. Construction of a new settling basin system with the required civil engineering works for the underground pipeline construction 2. Technical installation (TGA) 3. Connection of the treatment plant currently in operation to the new settling basin system and transitional operation 4. Decommissioning and dismantling of the old settling basins Following the dismantling of the old settling basin system, construction of the new filter hall will begin. Stadtwerke Jülich GmbH has decided to replace a treatment plant that has been in operation for approximately 55 years and to construct a new waterworks at the existing site at Römerstraße 101 in 52428 Jülich. The operating premises are located on Römerstraße immediately before the eastern exit from the town. For this project, the contractor will construct two new settling basins with a valve chamber, including all earthworks required for this purpose. The two settling basins to be constructed are each approximately 105m² in size and are intended to receive sludge-containing backwash water. The valve chamber is a single-storey structure with an internal platform, a steel staircase and a pump sump. The valve chamber, with a floor area of approximately 20m², is located between the two settling basins. In its lower section, the valve chamber will be provided with fill concrete. The roof of the valve chamber is a flat roof with a parapet. The exact dimensions of the structure can be taken from the planning documents enclosed with this bill of quantities.
