The core element of the planned procurement comprises a digitalized metal ultrasonic welding system in order to meet the current requirements for joining technology involving complex geometries and the processing of novel materials. With the flexibly adjustable operating modes, such as displacement-controlled process control for sensitive surfaces or time-controlled process control for analyzing the various phases of joint formation, a wide variety of research and application cases can be covered. Furthermore, the planned machine enables the use and combination of data streams from various internal and external sensors, thereby significantly increasing flexibility in the investigation and optimization of joining processes.
