Interior refurbishment is to be carried out for the “Services and Trades” Vocational School of the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock, consisting of two school buildings with a total of 57 classrooms, laboratories and specialist rooms. The theory building (Building I) is a GBR 85 standard-design school building and the practical training building (Building II) is a WBS 70 standard-design school building constructed by VEB Wohnungsbaukombinat Rostock. Both buildings were constructed in the 1980s. The gross floor area is approx. 4,950 m² for Building I and 3,770 m² for Building II. The project concerns the modernization and design of the building interiors, as the external envelope has already been renewed. The main construction measures are: - Complete renewal of all wall and ceiling coverings, floor coverings, interior and fire doors, and the locking system - Installation of acoustic ceilings in classrooms and preparation rooms, administrative rooms and corridors - Complete renewal of the toilet facilities, incl. screed, tiles and sanitary partitions - Construction of solid shafts across all floors for ventilation ducts - Renewal of all building services systems (heating, ventilation, electrical, ELA, SiBe) - New roof penetrations for wastewater and ventilation pipes, installation of ventilation units on the roof Another focus is the complete renewal of the furnishings and equipment. This includes all furniture and technical equipment as well as the specific equipment for the individual specialist departments. Supply and professional installation of 15 machines and devices for processing wood and metal, incl. instruction. Supply and professional installation of 22 workshop cabinets, 32 workbenches, 8 carpenter’s benches, 65 shelving elements and 27 multi-part locker cabinets.
