Opportunity description

Turnkey construction of the TU Dortmund University Library with integrated design services. Project description (for a detailed description, see FLB): The freestanding building of the planned new University Library has nine above-ground floors, as well as a fully underground mechanical services floor. The floor plans of the above-ground floors, with two core areas in the north and south, including emergency stairwells, elevators and service areas, accommodate the main usable spaces. On the library floors from the 1st basement level to the 5th floor, the shelving areas for approximately 1 million books are located between the cores. The office and student work areas are planned between the cores and the façade. On the 6th and 7th floors, the ventilation plant room is located in the area between the cores. The office areas intended for the university administration are located around the perimeter along the façade. Mechanical services areas are planned on the 2nd basement level. The structure of the university floors ensures the flexibility intended by the user for future changes in library use. At the same time, the shelving areas are concentrated in the center of the building so that the areas along the façades can be made available for student work. Procedure: neg-w-call.
