The subject matter of the contract is the award of the exclusive right to operate and exploit public regular interurban road passenger transport services by bus in the Region of Peloponnese through a concession contract for public passenger transport services pursuant to Regulation 1370/2007. Specifically, the subject matter of the contract is the “Concession of the right to exclusively exploit public regular interurban passenger transport services by bus in the Region of Peloponnese”, with an estimated value of €325,000,000.00 plus VAT for ten (10) years. The duration of the contract may be extended, at the discretion of the contracting entity, for up to five (5) additional years exclusively under the terms and conditions of paragraph 4 of Article 4 of Regulation (EC) 1370/2007 and in accordance with European Commission Communications 2014/C 92/01 and 2023/C 222/01 concerning interpretative guidelines for Regulation (EC) 1370/2007. Including an option, if exercised under the terms and conditions of paragraph 4 of Article 4 of Regulation (EC) 1370/2007, the estimated value of the contract may amount to €487,500,000.00 excluding 13% VAT. The subject matter of the contract is the operation and exclusive exploitation of public regular interurban road transport services for passengers—as well as accompanied parcels weighing more than 10 kilograms or unaccompanied parcels—by bus in the Region of Peloponnese and, more specifically, on the network set out in ANNEX IV to the Tender Notice through a concession contract for public passenger transport services, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4974/2022 and, in particular, Chapter V, as well as Regulation (EC) 1370/2007. Specifically, the subject matter of the contract is the “Concession of the right to exclusively exploit public regular interurban passenger transport services by bus in the Region of Peloponnese”, with an estimated value of €325,000,000.00 plus VAT [i.e., €32,500,000 annually for ten (10) years]. The total estimated value of the contract amounts to €325,000,000.00 excluding 13% VAT (estimated value including VAT: €367,250,000.00). Including an option, if exercised under the terms and conditions of paragraph 4 of Article 4 of Regulation (EC) 1370/2007, the estimated value of the contract may amount to €487,500,000.00 excluding 13% VAT (estimated value including VAT: €550,875,000.00).
