Opportunity description

The subject matter of the contract is the operation and exclusive exploitation of public regular urban and interurban road passenger transport services, -as well as accompanied parcels weighing more than 10 kilograms or unaccompanied parcels- by bus in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and, more specifically, on the network set out in ANNEX IV to this Contract Notice, through a public passenger transport services concession contract, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4974/2022 and, in particular, Chapter E, as well as Regulation (EC) 1370/2007. Specifically, the subject matter of the contract is divided into two (2) Lots as follows: LOT 1: “Concession of the right of exclusive exploitation of public regular interurban passenger transport services by bus in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace”, with an estimated value of €363,500,000.00 excluding VAT [i.e., €36,350,000 annually, for ten (10) years] and LOT 2: “Concession of the right of exclusive exploitation of public regular urban passenger transport services by bus in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace”, with an estimated value of €20,000,000.00 excluding VAT [i.e., €2,000,000 annually, for ten (10) years]. The total estimated value of the contract amounts to €383,500,000.00 excluding 13% VAT (estimated value including VAT: €433,350,000.00). Including an option, if exercised under the terms and conditions of paragraph 4 of Article 4 of Regulation (EC) 1370/2007, the estimated value of the contract may amount to €575,250,000.00 excluding 13% VAT (estimated value including VAT: €650,032,500.00).
