Netherlands – Construction work for water projects – 31215855: Development of Circular Construction Yard Duivelseiland (CWD)

Opportunity description

Rijkswaterstaat has chosen to establish its own construction yard on Krabbegors, a small island in the seaport area of the city of Dordrecht (also known as 'Duivelseiland'). To make the island suitable for this purpose, the following work is primarily required: modifying quays and banks, creating a recess in the bank of the Oude Maas, installing pile foundations for support points, installing a foundation and beam for a skid track, and further developing the construction yard site. The contracting authority intends to award this contract in the form of an engineering & construct contract, subject to the UAV-GC 2025 conditions. As part of the contract, a DO will be provided, which must be developed by the future contractor through to a UO. The greatest challenge for implementation is the lead time: the final milestone for this project is directly linked to the start date of the construction yard's first user, the 'Vernieuwen Van Brienenoordbrug' project.
