In 2022, HVC took over the collection activities of Stadswerk072. As part of this takeover, the workshop on Herculesstraat was also taken over. However, this location is not available as a permanent accommodation solution for HVC. To provide future-proof accommodation, a building plot on Olivijnstraat in Alkmaar was purchased in 2023. Based on further investigation, it was decided to jointly accommodate the BU Collection, including the workshop function, with the BU Logistics in a single new commercial building to be constructed at this location. With the development of this new building, all Logistics and Collection Alkmaar employees, including the associated equipment and vehicle fleet, will be housed at one central location.
