1. Introduction This notice is used solely to inform interested parties of the intended choice of procedure, namely the intention to conclude an agreement with Van Kruysdijk Auto's B.V. by invoking the negotiated procedure without prior publication pursuant to Article 2.32, paragraph 1(b)(2), of the Public Procurement Act 2012 in conjunction with Article 4.16 et seq. of the Public Procurement Act 2012. The purpose is to give interested parties the opportunity to submit any objections within the applicable time limit. Contracting authority The contracting authority for the agreement is the Municipality of Breda, hereinafter referred to as the “Contracting Authority”. 2. Brief description of the procurement contract Within the Municipality of Breda, right-hand-drive vehicles are an essential part of carrying out work in public spaces. To ensure the continuity of this work, the timely replacement of outdated vehicles is necessary. Some of the current vehicles have now reached or exceeded their technical and economic service life, putting their reliability and availability under pressure. The Municipality of Breda aims to make its vehicle fleet more sustainable. For the replacement of these vehicles, it has therefore opted to purchase eight right-hand-drive electric vehicles that are specifically suitable for the work to be carried out. To give the market the opportunity to submit tenders, the Municipality of Breda initially put the contract out to its framework contractors through a mini-competition. No tenders were received. A market survey was subsequently conducted into the availability of suitable vehicles. This showed that Van Kruysdijk in Prinsenbeek is the only supplier able to offer a vehicle that meets the functional, technical and operational requirements of the Municipality of Breda.
